In an interview by Stephen Fry in TIME magazine (April 2010), Steve Jobs made the following statement on his working life...

"I don't think of my life as a career. I do stuff. I respond to stuff. That's not a career - it's a life!"

That's a view I can certainly identify with. Joining the academic staff of RMIT International University Vietnam was a partly a response "to stuff" going on at the time, but resulted in a new phase in my life which I have found immensely rewarding. A subsequent move to the Student Services area carried that much further. Always new stuff to learn, and lots of opportunities to make a difference.
